The Illinois Junior Girl's Amateur Championship is contested the last Tuesday and Wednesday of July or the 1st Tuesday and Wedesday of August at the University of Illinois Golf Course (Orange Course), in Champaign, Illinois.

The tournament format is 36-hole stroke play, with players flighted by first round score. The tournament is open to women amateur golfers under the age of 19 with a handicap of 40 or less, or who average 120 or less. Contestants must be residents of Illinois.

The Junior Tournament has been growing in popularity each year, with the 2006 field being comprised of 100 players.

The entry fee is $50.00, and includes tournament rounds and prizes.

Play is in foursomes. Carts and caddies are not allowed.
